Genecast Trio Focus is our proprietary multi-gene detection reagent kit that utilizes capture-based targeted DNA NGS sequencing. It is able to detect SNVs in 29 genes to provide therapy selection for patients with CRC. We obtained CE marking for Genecast Trio Focus for CRC in March 2022.

Genecast Trio Focus is a targeted DNA-based NGS assay designed to detect clinically relevant somatic alterations in 29 key cancer-related genes, optimized for hotspot mutation profiling in NSCLC, CRC, and breast cancer. This panel enables sensitive detection of base substitutions, indels, CNVs, selected gene rearrangements, and the genomic signature of MSI using DNA derived from FFPE tumor tissues or plasma cfDNA. The assay includes critical mutation hotspots such as KRAS exon 2 variants (G12S, G12C, G12D, G12A, G12V, G13D), which are essential for companion diagnostic testing with cetuximab.

Genecast Trio Focus is intended to support oncologists in identifying actionable mutations in patients with solid malignant neoplasms, particularly those with NSCLC or CRC, and guide treatment decisions in accordance with established clinical guidelines. The test is suitable for both tissue and plasma samples, with plasma testing offering a practical option for advanced-stage patients when tumor biopsy is not available.
